Discord has no built in way to follow a YouTube channel, a subreddit or a blog, so owners add one notification bot per service. What they complain about is the same everywhere: alerts that arrive late or never, a few sources locked behind premium, and a feed that is easy to add but hard to fix when it breaks.

Wody Feeds follows 17 sources from one place. YouTube, Twitch and Kick with the real start time and the picture of the stream. Spotify and Apple Music artists, playlists, charts and podcasts, plus a random song. Reddit, Tumblr, Pinterest and any website with an RSS feed. GitHub, Steam news and the free games of Epic Games. You choose the channel and how often to check, and you can mention a role. A new feed shows its newest item at once and then only what is new, and when something breaks the dashboard tells you why and the feed pauses itself instead of spamming.

Who it is for

  • Server owners who follow creators, subreddits, blogs and repositories and want the news in a channel
  • Communities for streamers, music and developers
  • Admins who tried several notification bots and were tired of late or missing alerts

What goes wrong elsewhere

  • Alerts that arrive minutes late are nearly useless for a live stream
  • Bots that ping everyone teach members to mute the channel
  • APIs change, and an abandoned bot can silently stop posting without telling anyone
  • A feed is easy to add but hard to fix when it breaks, because the bot never says why

How to set up Feeds

Here is how to get Feeds running on your server, step by step. It takes a few minutes.

  1. Add Wody and open the dashboard

Invite Wody to your server, then sign in to the dashboard with Discord and pick your server. In Discord you can also run /dashboard to get the link.

  2. Turn on Feeds

Open Feeds in the sidebar and switch it on if it is off.

  3. Set it up

Choose what you need and save. Changes reach the bot instantly. You can set:

    • Source and what to follow
    • Channel and how often to check
    • A role to ping for new items
  4. Use it in Discord

These commands are ready for you and your members:

    /feed add/feed list/feed sources
  5. Check that it works

Try it in your server. If something is missing, Wody tells you exactly what, for example a permission, and the Error Log in the dashboard shows it. You can come back and change anything at any time.

Frequently asked questions

Are Feeds free?+
Yes. Up to 30 feeds per server, no Premium needed.
Will a new feed flood my channel?+
No. It posts only the newest item at first and then only what is new.
Can it mention a role?+
Yes, one role you choose. Wody never mentions everyone.
Do all sources work out of the box?+
Most do. A few, such as Twitch, Kick and Spotify, need a key that only the bot owner can add. Wody tells you when one is missing.
How do I find out that a feed has a problem?+
The dashboard shows the status and the reason. A feed that keeps failing backs off and pauses itself instead of retrying forever.
