Discord Forum Bot, Auto Tags and Post Cooldown for Forum Channels
Keep forum channels tidy with automatic tagging and a cooldown between posts.
Forum channels are great for support and showcases until posts pile up without tags and the same member opens ten threads in a row. Moderators spend their time sorting instead of helping.
Wody tags new forum posts automatically and applies a cooldown between posts. A free server can set this up on 1 forum channel, and Premium removes that limit.
Who it is for
- Owners of support and feedback servers that use forum channels
- Moderators who spend their evening tagging posts by hand
What goes wrong elsewhere
- Untagged and unanswered posts make a forum look abandoned, and then people stop posting
- The same questions come back as new posts when nobody can sort them
- Bug reports without a tag go unseen by the people who fix them
What's included
Automatic tagging of new posts
A cooldown between posts
1 forum channel free, unlimited with Premium
Set from the dashboard
Less manual sorting for moderators
How to set up Forums
Here is how to get Forums running on your server, step by step. It takes a few minutes.
Add Wody and open the dashboard
Invite Wody to your server, then sign in to the dashboard with Discord and pick your server. In Discord you can also run /dashboard to get the link.
Turn on Forums
Open Forums in the sidebar and switch it on if it is off.
Set it up
Choose what you need and save. Changes reach the bot instantly. You can set:
- Forum channel
- Default tags and auto archive
- Cooldown and log channel
Check that it works
Try it in your server. If something is missing, Wody tells you exactly what, for example a permission, and the Error Log in the dashboard shows it. You can come back and change anything at any time.
