Owners who run more than one server often want a shared place: a main community and a regional one, a public server and a staff or partner server, or an old server and a new one. Keeping them in sync by copying messages by hand does not work, and many bridge bots ask for broad permissions or let anyone with Administrator connect a server.

Wody Link connects one text channel in a server you own to one text channel in another server you own. Only the real owner of both servers can create the bridge, which Wody checks with Discord each time and not from roles or permissions. Messages, replies, attachments and stickers are relayed both ways, edits and deletes follow, and the bot never relays its own messages or loops a message back. If ownership of a server changes, the bridge stops by itself instead of passing to the new owner.

Who it is for

  • Owners who run a main community and a regional, partner or staff server
  • Communities that are moving from an old server to a new one and want both active for a while
  • Teams that want one conversation to reach two servers without copying messages by hand

What goes wrong elsewhere

  • Many bridge bots let anyone with Administrator connect a server, so a bridge can be set up without the owner knowing
  • A relay that does not track messages can loop, duplicate or leave old text behind after an edit or delete
  • A bridge that passes pings through lets one member notify a server they do not belong to

What's included

Two-way relay of text, replies, attachments and stickers

Edits and deletes follow the original message

Only the verified owner of both servers can create or edit a bridge

Optional translation between languages, off by default, and the original is sent if it fails

Spam protection per bridge that slows a flood down and never bans or kicks

Mentions are neutralized so a bridge cannot ping everyone

Pause, resume and delete from the dashboard, with a history of what happened

Free for every server

How to set up Wody Link

Here is how to get Wody Link running on your server, step by step. It takes a few minutes.

  1. Add Wody and open the dashboard

Invite Wody to your server, then sign in to the dashboard with Discord and pick your server. In Discord you can also run /dashboard to get the link.

  2. Turn on Wody Link

Open Wody Link in the sidebar and switch it on if it is off.

  3. Set it up

Choose what you need and save. Changes reach the bot instantly. You can set:

    • Which two channels to link
    • Optional translation and the language of each side
    • Anti-spam limits for each bridge
  4. Check that it works

Try it in your server. If something is missing, Wody tells you exactly what, for example a permission, and the Error Log in the dashboard shows it. You can come back and change anything at any time.

Frequently asked questions

Who can create a Wody Link bridge?+
Only the owner of both servers. Wody asks Discord who owns each server every time, so Administrator, Manage Server or a role is not enough.
What happens if I transfer a server?+
The bridge stops. It is not deleted and it does not move to the new owner, so nobody gets a bridge they did not create.
Can a message loop between the two channels?+
No. Wody does not relay its own messages or bot messages, and every relayed message is tracked so it is delivered once.
Can people ping everyone through the bridge?+
No. Mentions are turned into plain text in the other server.
Is translation required?+
No. It is off by default. It needs a translation service configured for Wody, and if a translation fails the original message is delivered.
Is it free?+
Yes, it is free for every server. It stays off until you create a bridge.
